Holmes Co. Has Second Highest Unemployment Rate in the State

The State Department of Employment Security says Holmes County now has an unemployment rate of 19.4%. Tunica County has the highest at 19.5%.

State leaders say the loss of manufacturing jobs and Holmes Co. poor economic state have played roles in the high unemployment rate.
