Jim Hill couldnt overcome a 17 point haltime deficit and fell to Meridian 85-65.
Meridian got a scare in the second half when Mississippi State signee Rodney Hood fell awkwardly on an out of bounds alley-oop pass. Hood laid on the floor in pain for several minutes before gingerly walking off the court on his own. Several minutes later Hood was back in the game.
Fred Thomas led Jim Hill with 33 points in the loss.
