State Record In The High Jump

Marcus Jackson, a J.Z. George High School junior, broke the overall Mississippi public high school high jump record with a jump of seven feet and two and a quarter inches. Jackson breaks the record by a quarter inch.

Jackson broke the Class 2A record earlier in the day with a jump of six feet, ten inches. The previous record was six feet nine inches.
