Defense played a big role in The Class 3 A Championship. Forest's Randell Boyd picked off Aberdeen's Desmond Jones and took it all the way down to the two yard line. Very next play Qillan Jones punches it in for the games first touchdown to give Forest a 10-0 lead.
The Bearcats defense was too aggressive in the 3rd quarter and it cost them a touchdown. The Forest defense caused a fumble but when everyone chased it and scooted back down field to an all alone Jalen DeVauld. The senior wide receiver scooped up the ball and took it 85 yards for a touchdown. The Bulldogs would convert a two point conversion to make the score 10-8 but that is as close as they would get.
