David Toms likes the idea of playing in a golf tournament just three hours from home. Toms says he drove to tournament from his home in Louisiana and says it will mean little more special to play in front of family and friends. Toms says because they will be on hand watching him he will be trying a little harder to give them a good show.
Toms would love nothng more than to close out the year by wning in his first tourament of the year. He is currently ranked 14th on the PGA's momey list.
The LSU grad said there is a chance we could see him wearing some purple and gold this week to show support for his beloved Bayou Bengals.
