Jackson-Shepard Havens, 70, is charged with child sex crimes.

The former Clinton Public Schools bus driver is charged with six counts of gratification of lust and one count of sexual battery. He pled not guilty in his arraignment Wednesday in a Hinds County courthouse.

According to a grand jury indictment, Havens inappropriately touched three young girls between the ages of 8 and 10. The incidents are believed to have happened between July and September 2010 on a school bus. The indictment also reads that he penetrated the 10 year old with his finger.

Havens is out on bond but must remain on house arrest. He is not allowed to contact any of the victims nor have any unsupervised contacts with minors.

If convicted, Havens could get 15 years for each count of gratification of lust. He could also get up to 30 years for sexual battery.

Judge Winston Kidd scheduled his court date for the June term.
