State treasurer Lynn Fitch is holding news conferences across the state. This morning in Jackson-- she unveiled a division that's set-up to find Mississippians who have unclaimed money...
In many cases people may have checks, stocks, or money orders that were refunded through a company that could not locate them.
That money eventually goes to the state treasurer's office. At this morning's news conference Fitch gave money back to several people and organizations.
Among them a Vicksburg father named William sit who was owed over $100-thousand dollars.
“I don't have any words. i really don't" says William Sit. Sit says he'll use some of that money to help his daughter who's in college.
