MDOT says the I 20 bridge over the Mississippi River has reopened. An MDOT spokeswoman says an inspection of the bridge after it was hit by a barge found no damage. There was also no damage to the old I 20 bridge which is used for trains.
Authorities say barges broke away from a tow boat striking the bridges. There are no reports of any injuries.
