Three men have been arrested on capital murder charges for the death of a Rankin County man.

The suspects are 24-year-old Jerry Dunn, Jr.,  22-year-old Clarence Jones, and 19-year-old Tramell Warren.

Sheriff Ronnie Pennington tells News Channel 12 that they targeted a home on "Rankin Hills Place" subdivision.

They stole money and other items before killing the owner, 33-year-old Stephen Johnson.

The three suspects are accused of taking Johnson's body from his house and dumping it off Shiloh Road.

A preliminary investigation shows he was beaten to death.
