Clinton Parents in Shock Over Former Minister's Confession

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Clinton parents say they are in disbelief after John Langworthy admitted to sexual indiscretions with young boys.

We're told Langworthy made the confession at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton on Sunday. He was a minister of music at that church. He says the incidents happened over two decades ago at a different church in Mississippi and one in Texas.

Langworthy resigned from his post at Morrison Heights in May. He also spent years teaching music for Clinton Public Schools. He resigned from that post a few weeks ago. School officials say they knew about the allegations but did not remove him because he was never officially charged.

A member from the Texas church, where Langworthy served, brought the allegations to Clinton school officials.

We went by Langworthy's house to ask him why did he wait so long to confess. He did not answer his door.
