Mississippians are looking for affordable ways to spend this Labor Day weekend.
Some are taking out their RVs or campers to help stretch their vacation dollars.
"It's easy to go get something if you forget because it's close to town, but you are able to get out-of-town. It's kind of a little different world out here," said Jarrette Hall, who brought his RV to Lafleur's Bluff State Park from Lincoln County.
State officials tell us all of the 25 state parks are booked this Labor Day weekend.
Nationally, RV parks and campgrounds have seen a 5% increase in bookings for the holiday weekend, over last year.
"Unless you're on another planet, you know there's an economic slowdown," said Jim Walker, spokesman for Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. "I think you're finding a lot of Mississippians aren't going to travel as far and they're money conscious."
Park officials say camping is also a safe option.
Many of the state parks have DUI checkpoints campers have to pass before they can enter.
Rangers and law enforcement officers are also on duty at all times.
