A massive fire broke out last night in downtown Crystal Springs destroying four businesses. The blaze started around 1 a.m. at a business on South Jackson Street.
Due to the fire, all three schools in the city are without electricity, water, and have been forced to close.
Mayor Arthur Evans Jr. said they were luckily and thankful no one lost their life.
"We thank all of the different fire departments and volunteers that came out. They're the real reason Crystal Springs didn't suffer any more loss." Said Mayor Evans.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
