First Lady Will Visit Two Schools

First Lady Michelle Obama will visit two local schools as part of her "Let's Move!" Campaign

First Lady Michelle Obama will travel to Jackson this Wednesday. She will be joined by Governor Haley Barbour and Mississippi First Lady Marsha Barbour at two local schools. They'll be discussing ways to promote healthy schools as part of the recently launched "Let's Move!" Campaign.

Mrs. Obama, Governor Barbour and First Lady Marsha Barbour will visit Pecan Park Elementary School to highlight the importance of physical activity by touring the school's walking trail.

The next stop is Sam M. Brinkley Middle School where Mrs. Obama will hear from officials and experts about state and local efforts to combat childhood obesity. They will also hold a community event.
