Crews continue working around the clock to repair dozens of broken water mains across the city of Jackson.
Mayor Harvey Johnson said in a Wednesday morning news conference eight additional crews from other cities were backing up employees from Jackson’s Public Works Department.
Since last week, 123 water line breaks have been reported. There were 16 additional breaks reported Tuesday night.
As of Wednesday afternoon, officials say 36 busted pipes still had to be fixed.
