The holiday shopping season is in full swing. And, business is still booming at Angie's in Ridgeland.
"I have never really seen a bad hit with the economy. I guess the people who have money spend money no matter what," recalls the store owner.
Angie Pulliam has owned this girly boutique for about eight years. And, this past October, she moved her store from Highway 51 to The Renaissance at Colony Park.
"We have a lot of out-of-town people from small town Mississippi that don't have anywhere to shop. And, they come and [we] greet them with a smile. But, we do have our regular customers," explains Pulliam.
She says it's too early to tell if business is better because of the new location or if it's because more people are spending money.
"It’s here, it's upon us and I hope everyone's ready," comments Pulliam.
And, she's doing everything she can to get more people to shop in her store.
"We also offer layaway. A lot of businesses don't offer that any more. And, we've had a really good success with it," Pulliam tells News Channel 12.
And, like most stores, Pulliam has beefed up her staff to accommodate the increase in business.
