The prosecution has rested in the capital murder trial of Carla Hughes.
Moments later defense attorneys asked for a mistrial. They say prosecutors did not meet the burden of proof. The judge denied the request.
The judge denied that motion.
Hughes is charged with two counts of capital murder.
If she's found guilty prosecutors have made it clear they plan to seek the death penalty.
Hughes is charged with two counts of capital murder in the death of Banks and Banks' unborn son.
She was found shot and stabbed several times in the garage of her Ridgeland home.
