Another bombshell Friday afternoon in the Carla Hughes murder trial.
A key piece of evidence surfaces that could be damaging to Hughes' defense.
The jury was removed from the courtroom after prosecutors announced they have recovered a garage door opener that allegedly belonged to Keyon Pittman.
This could be damaging to Hughes' defense strategy because they have tried to establish that Pittman did not have his door garage opener the night his fiancee Avis Banks was killed.
They've hinted that Pittman may have entered the home another way.
Hughes is charged with two counts of capital murder.
If she's found guilty prosecutors have made it clear they plan to seek the death penalty.
She's accused of killing 27-year-old Banks and Banks' unborn son.
She was found shot and stabbed several times in the garage of her home in Ridgeland in November 2006.
