"Same guy, different girl," shouted Major Nick Clark to his deputies.
The Street Crimes Task Force, a special group of Hinds County Sheriff's Deputies, listened to their commander bark orders for Wednesday's undercover operation. The target was 51-year-old James Little who they arrested last year for running a house of prostitution. He ran a motorcycle repair shop from his home in Terry off I-55. Authorities say it was a front for his prostitution operations.
A deputy posing as an undercover "John" offered a prostitute at Little's home cash for sex. After signaling his team via cell phone, the task force rushed Little's property, but were unable to apprehend him. He escaped after watching deputies from a hidden camera installed in his front yard.
The Hinds County Sheriff's Department has issued a warrant for his arrest. He's charged with running a house of prostitution; authorities say more charges will likely be filed. 44-year-old Terri Brister, who negotiated with an undercover deputy for sex, was arrested and charged with prostitution.
"Anytime we know activity like this is going on in Hinds County, we've got to what we've got to do to bring it to a halt," he said.
Investigators recovered $16,000 hidden in Little's shed and found Valium, steroids and a small amount of marijuana in his house. If you have any information regarding Little whereabouts, contact the Hinds County Sheriff's Department.
