The city of Jackson wants you to particiapate in Roll Off Dumpster Day this Saturday.

The City of Jackson’s Solid Waste Division is encouraging Jackson residents to participate in Roll Off Dumpster Day, Saturday, November 14, 2009, by taking tree limbs, other yard debris, and household items to one of the following locations from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., weather permitting.
• Ward 1 Westbrook Road (east of the soccer field)
• Ward 2 Sylvia Street at James Davis Road
• Ward 3 Commerce Park at Stonewall Street
• Ward 4 Peter Quinn Drive, near the Capital City Alternative School
• Ward 5 1900 block of Valley Street at Booker Street (on city lot south of the Can Man)
• Ward 6 Tennis South Center, 1517 McDowell Road
• Ward 7 Murrah Drive (east of Peachtree Street near Murrah High School)

Residents may bring all household furniture and appliances for disposal. However, tires, chemicals and gas tanks are not accepted in the Roll Off Dumpster program. Participants are required to place debris inside dumpsters provided at the locations.

City businesses and residents living outside the city limits of the City of Jackson are not eligible to participate. Proof of residency may be required.
