A Ridgeland police officer is injured after he's struck by a fleeing suspect's car.
Police say an officer attempted to stop a shoplifter in the parking lot of the Ridgeland Wal-Mart when the suspect pinned the officer against a car using his vehicle.
Another officer fired three shots, hitting the suspect who attempted to flee, but crashed his car across County Line Road in front of the Toys-R-Us. Both the suspect and the injured officer were rushed to the hospital.
No word on either of their conditions.
