No matter where you go in Jackson, people all over the city have the same concerns: too much crime and too many bad roads.
Residents of Ward 3 are no different.
“Too many rough spots and potholes crime has been running rampant for months and probably years too," says longtime resident Johnny Cotton.
To deal with those problems, Cotton says there needs to be new leadership at City Hall.
“I'm sure they are aware of the problems because officials live in Jackson and travel the streets,” he says.
Some residents say Ward 3 needs more commercial development for easier access to modern conveniences things like grocery stores.
John Blackmon says, “You have to drive almost 15 to 20 minutes, we should have something in our local community."
A local community hoping new leaders at City Hall will make a big difference.
