»  Comments | Post a Comment

Jackson, MS -- The Algebra Project is celebrating its 25th anniversary during a 3-day workshop at Jackson State University.  Civil rights activist Bob Moses and actor Danny Glover are in Jackson to mark the anniversary.  It runs Friday through Sunday, July 27.

Moses founded The Algebra Project in 1982.  It uses mathematics as an organizing tool to ensure quality education for America's children.  More than 200 people are expected to attend the conference working to improve the nation's public schools.  Jackson State was chosen to host the event because it has great resources and success in building partnerships.
