To live a healthier life, our class is going to make smarter food choices, participate in healthy after-school programs, and active activities at home. We will begin by eating healthier foods and not junk foods daily at home and school.
We plan to make smart choices. First of all, we will use the one-bite rule when trying new healthy foods at school so we can learn to enjoy them more. When at home, keep healthy foods that we like within our reach to ensure we get that one healthy snack daily. We will eat breakfast everyday to help our brains grow smarter and smarter. Dinnertime is family time, so we’re going to keep it pleasant with sharing, instead of arguing. We can share positive things with our family about our school day such as what we learned and liked about the day.
We can also participate in healthy programs like the YMCA and the Boys’ and Girls’ Club to keep our bodies fit. Finally, we can balance every hour of T.V. time with one hour of active play when at home or plan play dates to build our social skills.
As you can see, our plan to change and live healthier lives is to start small and build on success.
