We really believe in living healthy lives. We think living healthier lives does not just mean changing the things we eat, drink, or even the way we exercise. There are other things we can do to make our lives healthier.
We believe that our brains are a very important part of our life and bodies, and we can make our brains healthier also. Therefore, we the students of Ms. Hatten and Ms. Lockhart’s first grade class have decided to cut down on the time we spend watching television or playing video games. We will replace this time with other engaging activities such as reading a book, putting together a puzzle, or creating things with our hands.
By engaging in such activities as these, we feel that we are exercising our brains and challenging our thinking. This can help increase the function of our brain cells, and even help improve our grades at school; also we will have more room in our brains to make healthier food choices also, which is also very important in helping us to live healthier lives.
