Audition Announcement
Ridgeland, MS - In December, The Center Players Community Theatre welcomes back the talented Sanders family in Sanders Family Christmas, the sequel to the popular Smoke on the Mountain. Sanders Family Christmas is a gospel musical set on Christmas Eve, 1941 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in the mountains of North Carolina. Reminiscent of A Prairie Home Companion, the show features 28 musical numbers ranging from traditional carols to old-time Gospel and folk holiday selections. Built around the dynamics of a performing family complete ith sibling rivalries and practical jokes, it is a terrific show for all.
Auditions will be held on Monday, October 5th and Tuesday, October 6th at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Ridgeland. The audition is comprised of a cold-read from the script along with 30 seconds of a vocal
selection of your choice. An accompanist will be provided or you may choose to perform your piece a-cappella. Headshots are not required but will be very helpful in casting. There are 7 roles for males and females, ages
ranging from late teens to sixties.
