Ladies’ Day at the Viking Classic will be held Thursday, October 29 and is sponsored by Ridgeland Tourism Commission.  All ladies attending the tournament will receive free admission.  This day is tailored to appeal to ladies of all ages, and free parking and admission is provided.

Ladies will enjoy cooking demonstrations in the Viking Culinary Tent.  At 11:00 am, the Viking Cooking School will feature “Inspired by the Hit Movie Julie & Julia – Mastering French Cuisine”.  At 1:00 pm, don’t miss the first Culinary Pro-Am Competition featuring Chef Chris Wilson/Emeril’s and Chef Lee Richardson/Capital Hotel.  Ladies from the audience will be selected to participate with the chefs on the Viking Range stage.

The popular Wine and Cheese Tasting, hosted by Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Colony Wine Market, will take place in the Viking Culinary Tent at 3:00 pm.  Ladies will be able to sample premium wine and cheese selections while learning more about the Viking Cooking School and the Worlds of Flavor travel program.

Activities will start early as the Ridgeland Tourism Pavilion opens at 9:00 am.  This area, open to all ladies, is located on the 18th fairway.  Ladies will be treated to complimentary make-overs and massages, courtesy of participating Ridgeland retailers.  Be sure to register at the Pavilion for your chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree to the Renaissance at Colony Park and other door prizes.

For golfers and non-golfers alike, free golf instruction from PGA Professionals will be offered on the Driving Range.  Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, don’t miss this opportunity to improve your shot or just learn the basics from true professionals.
