RIDGELAND TOURISM COMMISSION HOSTS LADIES DAY AT THE VIKING CLASSIC

Ridgeland, Miss. – The Ridgeland Tourism Commission will sponsor Ladies Day at the Viking Classic on Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.

Ladies will enjoy free admission and parking with numerous activities taking place on 18th fairway of the golf club.  Events are as follows:

In the Ridgeland Tourism Pavilion, guest will experience
o Demonstrations from the Mississippi Crafts Center
o Displayed artwork from Jackson Street Gallery
o Viking Cooking School informational booth
o Mini massages from Aqua Day Spa
o Hairstyling tips from the salon professionals of Barnette’s Salon
o On-site artist from Southern Breeze
o Hand scrub demonstrations and samples from Bath Junkie
o Furniture display from I.O. Metro Furniture and
o Clothing samples from Red Square Clothing.
o Banana Republic special invitation

Registration for door prizes and a $1,000 shopping spree to the Renaissance at Colony Park will be available at the Ridgeland Tourism Pavilion. 

The Viking Culinary Tent will feature cooking demonstrations. 
o At 11 a.m. is the cooking demonstration of “Inspired by the Hit Movie Julie & Julia - Mastering French Cuisine.”
o At 1 p.m. will be the Culinary Professional-Amateur Competition with guest chefs, Chris Wilson of Emeril’s and Lee Richardson of Capital Hotel.  During this competition, ladies will be chosen from the audience to cook with the chefs on the Viking Range stage.
o At 3 p.m., Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Colony Wine Market will host a Wine and Cheese Tasting.  Attendees will have the opportunity to learn further about the Viking Cooking School while sampling wine and cheese. 

For ladies interested in golfing, free golf instructions from Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) members will be provided on the Driving Range of the Annandale Golf Club. 

“The Ridgeland Tourism Commission is proud to host Ladies Day at the Viking Classic,” Ridgeland Tourism Commission Executive Director Doyle Warrington said. “We would like to thank those who partnered with us, and we want to encourage everyone to come and enjoy this fantastic event.”

Men and women will also have the chance to register for a set of Callaway golf clubs provided by the Ridgeland Tourism Commission.
