Ridgeland 17, Provine 6

Ridgeland knocks Provine out of the postseason with a 17-6 victory on the final day of the regular season. The Titans Jamal Bass and Shadick Horton led the Ridgeland rushing attack and both had several runs of well over ten yards.

Horton had a first quarter run of about forty yards that would set up his two yard touchdown to put the Titans up 10-0. Provine’s Jonathan Martin cut the lead to 10-6 late in the second quarter but Bass took care of that in a hurry. With 41 seconds left in the half Brantley Adams drew the defense in and dumped a floater over the middle to Bass who then took it 86 yards for a Titans score. The Bass touchdown made it 17-6 at the half and the score would stand as the final.
