On Thursday, Southern Miss took off for Omaha and the College World Series. I caught up with Senior and Clinton native Corey Stevens just before he boarded the bus headed to the airport. Corey talks about how his team could be this years Fresno State, what its going to be like playing in the College World Series and the support he has received from his home town.

Southern Miss will play No. 1 national seed Texas in the 6:00 p.m. game on Sunday, June 14th to open College World Series play. The game will be televised live on ESPN 2 in high definition.

Fryfgole is also the girlfriend of Pitcher Collin Cargill, who recorded the last three outs in Southerns win over Florida and send USM to the College World Series.

Southern Miss Head Baseball Coach Corky Palmer talks about going to Omaha and what a special year it has been. Coach also states for the record, that despite the magical run, he will continue to retire at the end of the season. Southern Miss will be making their first tip to the college world series in school history.
