The Claiborne County coroner tells us that 25-year-old Roderick Thompson is dead.  The Sheriff believes he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound, but his body is being brought to the state crime lab in Jackson for an autopsy.  The Sheriff tells us that the shooting happened on Rodney Road in Port Gibson.  He believes Thompson shot Johnson several times before turning the gun on himself.  The 21-year-old Johnson was airlifted to UMC with gunshot wounds to her chest, legs and hip.  We have several crews working this story and we’ll have the latest for you on News Channel 12 at 6 & 10.

May God forever smile upon you and your family and remember, God will work things out no matter how hard.  I can only imagine because I know not the pain and suffering of losing a child but trust in God and He will be there.

Ethel, Felicia, Sharon and the rest of the family
