Suspect Sought In Vicksburg Store Armed Robbery
Published: March 5, 2010
Vicksburg police are looking for a suspect involved in a violent armed robbery that left his accomplice dead. Police have not identified the man who’s still on the loose and may be injured.
Investigators say the two suspects robbed a clerk and customers at the La Chaquita convenience store on Highway 61 Thursday night just before nine o’clock.
As the men drove off, the store’s owner who was in an adjoining restaurant saw them and chased them to get their tag number. The suspects stopped on an overpass near Interstate 20 and shot at the owner. The owner returned fire and hit at least one of the suspects. The owner was not hurt. Police say the injured man jumped off the overpass. He was found dead there Friday morning. Police say the man is from El Paso County, Texas but they are not releasing his name until they notify his family.
Officers did recover stolen money and other items.

Give the store owner a key to the city of Vicksburg! This is the only way to get these worthless, workless thugs off the street. Don’t put them in jail, we have to pay for that. Kill them! That saves the taxpayer and gets one more useless crook off the streets for good. Once a crook, always a crook. I applaud the store owner! Give him a parade and crown him Grand Marshal! I’ll sleep better tonight knowing there is one more less criminal on this earth and also knowing there is a good man out there willing to risk his own life to get our freedom back.
