The severe weather today caused at least two injuries and scattered damage in at least four counties, according to initial reports to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.  One person was injured when lightning struck his home in Hernando this afternoon.
Initial damage reports are as follows:
Pike County: Two homes damaged.
Harrison County: A third of the old gym roof at the Gulfport Navy CB Base has blown off and some telephone lines are down.
Tallahatchie County: Strider Academy sustained damage to its building, door and awning because of the storm, but no injuries were reported there.
Forrest County: Power lines and trees down.
