After deliberating for less than one hour, jurors in the Carla Hughes capital murder trial return a verdict of life imprisonment without parole in the penalty phase of the case. The jury returned that verdict of each count in the killings of Avis Banks and her unborn son. On Tuesday the same jury found Hughes guilty of the murders. Tonight on News Channel 12 at 10, you’ll hear reaction from the Banks family, the attorneys and from the lead police investigator in the case.

I really hope Detroit isn’t being as nice to old Shyttman like Mississippi. That fugly looking dude will get caught up in something else soon. He will not live a life of blessings. His day is coming and I hope his little short bald headed self reads these comments so he will know he will not live a properous life. I hope those kids in Detroit Public Schools are eating him alive. Cause it seems to me his conscience isn’t bothering him. What in the world did these women see in this mess. That thing must really have some form of usage of words cause there is nothing there. And there is nothing on his head, so he needs to shave it off. Mary, all I can say is I really feel sorry for you. So much so that you are so obseesed with this case. No I am not a relative of Ms. Hughes, I am a GOD FEARING, SAVED, SANCTIFIED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST WOMAN OF GOD, and very intelligent, so intelligent enough to know that there were far tooooo many unanswered questions, tooo many speculations, toooo many doubt. I have the right to voice my opinion and so do you. But for a woman, who has been married for 20 years you say, you should be ashamed of yourself, from blog to blog, teaming up with anyone that is spewing negativity. It’s apparent that you have an ax to grind, not me!! I am happy with my life and in my life and do not sit at the PC on blogs each and everyday, it’s apparent, you have no life!!

There are thugs and then are simply people that are evil to the core, like Ms. Hughes. I don’t think you’ll have to worry about her going free. She will be at CMFC for the long haul.
For whatever reason Deedevine77 is having a hard time accepting that. I don’t know if she’s related to Carla Hughes or what. She’s beginning to soften a little and maybe beginning to realize that Carla Hughes really did what she was accused and convicted of doing. However, she was so quick and overly zealous to jump on the “she didn’t do it…it’s a conspiracy” bandwagon that she can’t get off.

Her lawyer clearly stated that he would not “appeal that issue” meaning, he would not use the fact that the jury did not agree with Carla’s defense as a basis of appeal!!! Dumb A&^!
What I stated that he said was what he cleary stated on TRU TV in an interview with Ms. Jamie, so you don’t play with me! I am educated and can recall information correctly based on what I have heard or read!
I suggest you look at the video once again and listen and comprehend what he said, because it’s evident you have comprehension issues!!!!
