An Evening With The Mannings

Blair E. Batson’s Hospital for Chidlren gets a big fundraising boost. 

Eli and his dad Archie hosted their annual black-tie event, “An Evening with the Mannings,“ on Saturday at the Jackson Convention Complex.  It was sponsored by BankPlus, friends of Children’s Hopital and News Channel 12.  This is the third year for the Batson fundraiser.

“I got to go to the children’s clinic for the first time, and they’re just unbelievable,“ said Eli Manning.  “It’s just amazing to finally kind of see it all just coming around.“

Manning, who plays quarterback for the New York Giants, led the team to the superbowl. 

“When you have a really quality mission in life, as Eli has with this hospital, people believe,“ said Emeril Lagasse, the celebrity chef who co-hosted the event.  “Maybe, they’re not going to spend as much tonight, but at least they’re here, and we’re all in this together.“

Around 800 people attended the event.
