Woman Dies In Deadly I55 CrashThe Hinds Co. coroner confirms that Rebekah Blunt, 26, of Byram died in a crash on Interstate 55 just before 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Police say Blunt was driving a Toyota Camry that hit a utility pole in the northbound lanes of I-55 just north of the McDowell Rd. interchange. She died at the scene. Blunt was the only person in the car. After the crash crews shut down the Gallatin St./State St. exit while they removed her car. Police are looking into what caused the crash.
