8 Suspects Arrested For Kidnapping, Assaulting Teen

    Eight men behind bars face kidnapping, extortion and aggravated assault charges. Authorities say they tried to extort money from the mother of a 17 year old boy they had kidnapped and beaten. Authorities arrested the suspects Wednesday at the Shakti Car Wash at Robinson Road Extension and Raymond Road in south Jackson. News Channel 12 was there as investigators towed cars from the car wash. Details are sketchy but we understand the cars were somehow related to the crime.
    Narcotics agents, police and deputies worked together on the bust and say they also seized a 0.25 caliber semi-automatic handgun. According to MBN the arrests ended a three hour investigation. Agents say they were quickly able to locate and rescue the 17-year old victim. He was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. Investigators believe the suspects kidnapped and assaulted the teen at the home at 5072 Lurline Drive.
