Chockwe Lumumba wins the Democratic primary for Jackson’s ward 2 council seat.  The seat was held by Dr. Leslie McLemore.  He is not seeking re-election. Lumumba tells News Channel 12 “we can expect changes because what we’re gonna do is ignite the energy of the population of Ward 2”.
