Three men are taken to Jackson hospitals after being shot late last night. It happened around 11:00 on Combs Street. That’s off Belvedere Drive in south Jackson. Investigators say the first shooting happened after a fight. Dwayne Evans was shot in the leg. They say after he was shot—Evans got a gun and opened fire. 33-year-old Demetrius Newell was hit in the stomach and 31-year-old Charles Sheppard was shot in the leg. Evans has been treated and released—while Newell and Sheppard are still in local hospitals. Police say charges could be filed once they are able to question each man about what happened.
