Carters JewelersThree men accused of robbing Carter Jewelers in Jackson are behind bars and in another state.
19 year-old Jerron Gray, 22-year-old David Stevenson, and 29-year old Tyrone Stovall face charges of felony possession of stolen property. They were arrested in the Memphis-area during a routine traffic stop. Police searched their car and found the stolen jewelery as well as drugs and a weapon.
Jerry Lake, the owner of Carter Jewelers, says he’s glad the men were arrested, but wants to know why it took his security company so long to respond.
“ADT did not get this reported to the police for 5 minutes,“ he said. “That’s too long for a business like this, it needs to go immediately.“
Lake says he’s complained to ADT about the problem. He says he was robbed four years ago, but the thieves were never caught. After that robbery, he installed video cameras and motion sensors.
Jackson police say they will go to Memphis on Monday to question the suspects.

Pardon me, I never referred to a specific race. the term “You People” was my way of describing trashy thugs. As a matter of fact, I just left St. D. E.R. waiting room, and saw a slew of “white trash” that disgusted me. Wearing their pants down on their butt, big flashing earrings, wife beater t-shirts, and some girl’s name tattooed on their neck.
No Ma’am, you stand corrected, I never referred to a race, but instead, a segment of society. Do you have a chip on your shoulder for whatever race you are?
As for as You People goes, I’m not a part of that race, as I have a son that is 2 years old, and my husband as well as I work everyday and WE teach our son right from wrong. Yes I do believe that it starts at home, but for you to make the comments that you made, it reflects my WHOLE race, not just these so called THUGS , as you put it. And I take offense to the statement quit defending your thug kids, first off my children aren’t thugs, my son pants don’t hang off of him, he diesn’t have a ear ring in his ear, and neither DOES my HUSBAND (Or any of the African American Males I work with), and we as a Family listen to 95.5 (which by the way is Gospel)...Not all Black people are ignorant, on welfare, thugs, or uneducated.
Ms. Griffin: Just a reply back: I have rethought my comment. I realize these were grown men. But, I feel reasonably sure that their “Thug” ways did not start when they were adults. Most of this type people started their thug ways when they were early teens. I just dont get it with some of You People. Quit defending your “Thug” kids. Go figure: when a young male has his ears pierced, wearing his pants down on his butt, listening to Gangsta Rap, and running the streets: these are all signs that MDOC has another resident on the way. I feel that the person who posted that comment, should rethink what they have said. These are GROWN men 19, 22, and 29, and I’m sure their parents didn’t teach them to be “THUGS”, yes parents should be held accountable for thier children, but these are grown people. They know right from wrong and they have no respect for the law, they broke the law and they should pay for that. People need to really sit back and think he could have been your son, would you still feel the same way..
Let these boys out of jail NOW!! Put Mama and Daddy in jail, in their place. They are the ones responsible for raising such trashy thugs with no regard for the law or mankind. Lets get to the root of the problem and send a message to these other Mamas and the Sperm Donors.
