Charges Could Soon Be Dropped Against Accused Cop Killer
During a motions hearing Friday in Circuit Court, the prosecution in the Sharrod Moore trial dropped a bombshell. They claim that the do not have enough evidence to go forward with the trial. Moore is accused of killing Jackson Police officer Robert Washington in 1995. The prosecution claims that many of the witnesses involved with the case have died. Circuit Judge Swan Yerger has scheduled a hearing on Wednesday to make a decision on whether to drop the charges.
