No Arrests In Jackson Shooting That Left 2 Dead, 1 Hurt In

Jackson Police are investigating an afternoon shooting that killed two men and injured a third.
Details are still sketchy, we don’t know who opened fire or why.
It happened in Northwest Jackson around 3:30 Monday afternoon behind the “Magic Mirrors Barber and Beauty Salon”. It’s on the 3900 block of Hanging Moss Road.
Officers are looking for a tan Ford Taurus with possibly two men inside, that was seen leaving the scene right after the shooting. It was heading north on Hanging moss Road.
We’ve learned one of the victims is 36-year-old Gerrick Watson. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His family tells us he worked at the salon.
33-year-old Christopher Bowling was also shot and died on the way to the hospital.
Police tell us a third man was shot in the arm.  He was rushed to the hospital, but because of health privacy laws, we have no details about him or his condition.
Jesse Pamplin is Gerrick Watson’s aunt. She and her entire family are devastated by his murder.
“This is a very trying time for our family,“ said Pamplin. “With the grace of God giving us strength, we will make it through.“
The family is left wondering who would do this to someone they loved.
“I just pray that they would just in their heart be remorseful and ask God to forgive them,“ said Pamplin. “We will forgive them as well, but pray that they will turn themselves in.“
Right now we don’t know if Christopher Bowling or the other man shot, who survived, worked at “Magic Mirrors” as well.
