Three people are behind bars facing charges in this week’s deadly shooting at a hair and barber salon.
One of the suspects is one of the three men shot.
20-year-olds Stephen adams and William Fleming, as well as 31-year-old Kerrick Nash face capital murder charges for the deaths of two men.
Police initially arrested Nash on an unrelated domestic violence charge, then upgraded the charges to capital murder.
He was one of the three men shot monday afternoon at the magic mirrors beauty salon on hanging moss road.
33-year-old Christopher Bowling was one of the two victims who died.
He worked at the salon his mother owned.
36-year-old Gerrick Watson was also shot and killed.
He worked at the salon too.
Watson was pronounced dead on the scene.
“It’s scary because it’s too close to home,“ said Beulah Ward, who lives across the street from “Magic Mirrors”.
She wishes criminals wouldn’t make their way into her neighborhood.
“They really need to stop and find themselves something better to do with their time,“ said Ward. “Instead of going around committing crime.“
Despite the shooting, Ward says she would never leave her neighborhood.
“There’s crime everywhere you go, you can’t run from it,“ said Ward. “It’s the people and we just need to get ourselves together.“
