Runoff in Adams County

Elections were held in several Mississippi Counties Tuesday.
In Adams County, there will be a runoff in the sheriff’s race.
Ray Brown leads with more than 36% of the vote and now the battle is now for second place between Chuck Mayfield and Randy Freeman.
Both candidates have just under 23% of the vote.
The clerk’s office is waiting to count absentee ballots before declaring a challenger for Brown.
The runoff will be held November 24th.
Adams County voters also overwhelming supported a recreation referendum with over 78% of the vote.
