River Flood Warnings
Due to heavy rain, rivers across Mississippi are starting to flood. Here is the latest as of Mid day Tuesday, October 13th:
The Big Black River at West is 21.5 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet. The river is expected to crest at 22 feet on Thursday.
The Big Black River at Bentonia is 24 feet. Flood stage is 22 feet. The river is expected to crest at 27 feet next Tuesday.
The Big Black River at Bovina is 30.9 feet. Flood stage is 28 feet. The river is expected to crest at 35 feet on Friday.
The Pearl River at Edinburg is 17.7 feet. Flood stage is 20 feet. The river is expected to crest at 21 feet on Saturday.
The Pearl River at Carthage is 16.3 feet. Flood stage is 17 feet. The river is expected to crest at 19 feet on Sunday.
The Yockanookany River at Kosciusko is 15.2 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet. The river is expected to crest at 16.5 feet Wednesday.
The Yockanookany River at Ofahoma is 17.9 feet. Flood stage is 19 feet. The river is expected to crest at 22 feet Friday.
The Yazoo River at Yazoo City is 28.3 feet. Flood stage is 29 feet. The river is expected to crest at 32 feet Sunday.
The Big Sunflower River at Anguilla is 43.5 feet. Flood stage is 45 feet. The river is expected to crest at 45 feet Thursday.
