Police Add Holiday Patrols at Dogwood Festival

  This holiday season extra police will be patrolling popular shopping centers in Flowood.
  For the next month, the police mobile command unit will be stationed in the parking lot at dogwood festival on Lakeland Drive.
  Officers will be looking out for thieves who may be tempted to rip of busy shoppers armed heading to their cars with bags full of gifts.
  Shoppers we spoke with at Dogwood are happy to see the added security. 
  Shonda Toran said, ”when I saw that command unit there I was oh great and then I found a parking spot right by it, it made me feel real good especially shopping alone.”
  Sandy Eaves from Macon agrees. “I think it’s very comforting to know that the police are so close if we need then it’s a good thing.”
