OSYKA, Miss. (AP) - A Kentwood, La., woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of an Osyka man who died Sunday from wounds he received during a fight Friday night. Deputies say 20-year-old Courtney A. Johnson is being held in the Pike County jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond.
Authorities tell the Enterprise-Journal that Johnson is charged in the death of 45-year-old James Taylor.  Johnson initially was charged with aggravated assault/domestic violence in the case. Pike County Chief Deputy Steve Rushing said the charge was upgraded to murder after Taylor died. Rushing said Johnson was an acquaintance of Taylor who was staying at his residence.
