All it took was $100, and a young Jackson mother became the winner of her very own miracle; miracle house that is.
Erica Blackmon is the winner of the 2009 Batson MiracleHome.
Blackmon is currently in school to become a nurse.
She is also the mother of a 5-year-old little boy.
The two currently live in a Jackson apartment and look forward to moving into their new home.
The house is located in Madison County, in the providence subdivision.
The 19 hundred square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home will be prefect for Blackmon.
It even has an energy efficient kitchen, which means her utility bills will be at a minimum.
In addition to the home, several other prizes were awarded.
All the proceeds from the 2009 MiracleHome to the Blair E. Batson children’s hospital, the state’s only hospital just for kids.
