Mississippi Prepares For Swine Flu This Fall Season

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi will receive $3.3 million
dollars to continue the state’s response to swine flu and help
prepare for the fall flu season.
U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., announced the funding Friday in
a news release. It’s part of more than $350 million being
distributed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
So far, Mississippi health officials have reported 207 cases of
swine flu, also known as the H1N1 flu virus.
