Knife On Bus
A Madison Student is Accused of Pointing a Knife...
we talked to the parents of the alleged victimThe mother of a Madison first grader says a kindergartner “with a knife”...threatened her young daughter on the school bus.
“She came in the house, screaming that the little girl on the bus that was going to kill her had a knife, and I was thinking what?!“ said Alisha Deville, the first grader’s mother.
Madison police say they can’t file charges because the child accused is so young.
Officers say they received an anonymous report of a five-year-old pointing a knife at a 7-year-old student on a school bus.
Both students attend Madison Station Elementary.
Police say the reported incident happened April 17th, and school administrators were handling it.
Still, Alisha Deville says she is pulling her daughter off the bus.
“I am taking my child to class. I am picking her up from class, and that is the way it’s going to be until I feel it is safe in our school system to let her go on that bus. And she feels it’s safe to go on that bus.“
The Devilles say they plan to attend next weeks school board meeting to voice their concerns, and are now pushing to get cameras on school buses.
