If a defendant doesn’t testify it doesn’t make that person guilty.  The judge is constantly telling each and every juror this during any trial but it doesn’t always register.  Because how is it possible for them to ask the one and only question..“WHY SHE DIDN’T TESTIFY?“  She doesn’t need to testify to prove her innoncence, the prosecution has to prove her guilt. I hope they didn’t base their guilty verdict on this alone.

“Guilty” now that word being said to me would be the breaking point for me to come clean. I have not ran across a man yet on this earth, that could make me give up my freedom. I do not feel that Carla did this crime alone, but I do feel she was aware of what happen and who did it. I could be wrong but Mr. “playboy” Pittman is the other person involved. I think after being locked up for a while behind real prison walls Carla will see the light and then sing like a bird, and if she wants to be a free bird she better start talking. I think after she is locked up for awhile and don’t see the sun rise and someon has to tell her it’s daylight she will talk. Listen ladies never love a man that hard, lets not have low self esteem keep in mind ‘self esteem’ that what you feel about YOURSELF. Carla will talk I think after all this sink in.

I am glad it is over finall. at least her avis banks’ family can rest now. I don’t believe what the judge said was racist in anyway. I believe he was doing his job. As far as Keyon let’s be real, he wasn’t innocent. Maybe he didn’t commit the crime hands on but he had something to do with it. i feel like he should have been charged as an accesory or something, why should he walk free!! Carla probably deeply regrets what she did because she knows now that the man she did it for meant nothing !! Just a squirrel inthis world. He has moved on an started over. I pray for Carla and her family. I also pray for peace with the banks’ family.

She was found guilty on both counts. This is not a time to rejoice, but a time to pray!! Pray for all those involved, including Keyon!

Racist Madison County - one less coon off their precious streets. You heard the judge - “ You better be glad you ain’t spending the night in Madison County Jail.“ Typical racist remark. The truth will prevail!

The jury has been deliberating atleast 18hours strong now!!! Jury is Carla NOT Guilty or Guilty. It time to bring closure to both families!! Come on now the Judge has instructed you to read # 4 of the rules! I really don’t think the jury can make a decision! Because they feel like they have unanswer questions, when they should only go with the information that was GIVEN! Again people I know this is a Capital Murder Case!!! and my heart goes out to both families! But any longer and any day over today is a cost 2 tax payer!

Shorty39…Your unanswered question was answered: It was brought into testimony, on Thursday…the reason Carla was in the neighborhood was because she was visiting a friend. Well, needless to say…that ‘friend’ testified that Carla hadn’t been to her house since June of 2006.

MY VIEW:
It still makes you wonder: ‘why was she in the neighborhood’? Cell phone records proved that Carla was in the area but Keyon was at the school. **Wait**I’M NOT ONE OF KEYONS’ “JUMP-OFFS”**. Back to the trial: Here’s my take as a woman…whose seen & heard of some helluva situations. Let me say this: Women are devious & slick as hair grease, lol…But seriously, Keyon testified that he felt lonely (typical excuse but logical to an extent) & that Avis didn’t want to do ANYTHING (sum women get that way when pregnant OR been repeatedly cheated on)...So he flirts with & meet Carla..Carla returns the flirts, she knows he’s engaged(so she voluntarily wrote)but the relationship got hot & heavy…seems to me(ONLY because Keyon dated others), Carla took the relationship too far for someone who knew he was involved/engaged. Only women who are ‘head over heels’ for a Man…Hides in the airport while he & his fiance arrive from a trip, has sex in another lady’s house, threatens a man with pregnancy..just so he would be with her, just to name a few. Then ‘facts’ state: she lied on HER voluntary statement to Ridgeland Police Dept., in questioning of ever owning or having possession of a firearm AND about her relationship with Keyon. If memory serves me correctly, her mom first testifed that she hadn’t met Keyon, then recanted & said that she’s seen him twice…when asked if she’s spoken with Carla about Keyon, she stated ‘no’..then recanted & said: she knew he had a girlfriend. Just to enlighten a few key facts in this trial…Something not right. Now I know we all have a right to the 5th Amendment, but defensively I would definitely be making some noise to have my side heard…I DIDN’T DO IT!!! No agreement with infidelity, but Keyon did what he was allowed to do by ALL of the women. Neither put their foot down…Avis continued to let him cheat, Carla agreed to cheat with him-knowing he was already involved & Bridgette, well she was curious..its no telling what Keyon was working with…U know the cliche’: There’s power in the Tongue/Mouth-Piece. (Not explicitly, but Realistically). Anyone can talk their way into what they want as long as their ‘game’ is strong AND obviously…Keyon worked his magic.

look people that do not make her guilt that she will not take the stand, if you know anything about law then you will know why and if you don’t know why then watch some csi or something that will be very danger for her to get up there and try to prove her innocent. all we can do is pray for both family.
He is fake, a liar, cheater, and he is the one that will get 2 life sentences.
he talking about if i was doing this and that this would not happen, you did it and he going to pay. again where was the wife, of future wife.
it’s so obvious that he trap her in all of this what man is going to go to his lover house and bore her shoes at work or practice, sound like a setup to me, and then this other friend goes out to lunch with him right before the murder come on.who is she, she could be the woman that love him and set her up, cause she wanted him, but whoever it is, they are so insane and they will not get away with it.and again carla is innocent.

i have a few people to respond to me and you all are open-minded and for the rest are total insane, she could have not done it, this man has the key to this woman house what person that will murder someone and take evidence back to her house, this man has taking 3 years of this woman life and took his fiance life with child and leave go to his wife in houston, then leave and go marry someone else come on he look so guilt and he did it point blank and he try, you hear me say try to frame carla, where was the other woman that he marry, where the woman that he just marry, i don’t think she was that lonely to take someone life, that don’t even seem right. why did he up and leave the town to be with his wife, come on don’t that seem guilty there he is scare and he was scare on the stand you can hear it in his voice and he ran.he know he did it
